Homeless Animals Will be the Winners
If Prendeville Completes All 67 Laps
Of Sunday's Firestone Indy Lights Race
At Kansas Speedway

KANSAS CITY, Kan., April 26
- Homeless animals will benefit if Andrew
Prendeville does well in Sunday's Kansas Lottery 100 Firestone Indy Lights race at
Kansas Speedway.

Through a Web site at racinglapsforbestfriends.com, fans make donations to
the Best Friends Animal Society based on the number of laps Prendeville will
complete in Sunday's 67-lap race and other Firestone Indy Lights races with his
Best Friends Animal Society No. 5.

All donations to the not-for-profit animal welfare group, which cares for
1,500 animals daily at its shelter in Kanab, Utah, are tax-deductible. Best
Friends is affiliated with animal shelters around the world, including the Humane
Society of Greater Kansas City.

Per-lap donations may be made for any amount starting at 25 cents per lap.
If a fan pledges $1 per lap and Prendeville completes all 67 laps tomorrow, the
fan will have donated $67 to Best Friends.

Special incentives are offered to fans that make per-lap pledges for the
entire season, and to those whose pledges reach $1,000.

In addition to making per-lap donations at racinglapsforbestfriends.com, fans
can also participate in a special raffle that benefits Best Friends through
that Web site. The prizes are sessions at the Bertil Roos Racing School.

Besides racinglapsforbestfriends.com, other info is available at
bestfriends.org.

Qualifying is slated for 9 a.m. Central time Sunday, with the race following
at 12:45 p.m. Central time. It will air at 2 p.m. Eastern Thursday, May 1 on
ESPN2.

Although he hasn't been feeling well all week, Prendeville was third in the
first practice session and 11th in the second practice session here Saturday.
